You’ll Forget Deepika’s Fee For Padmaavat, After Knowing How Much Priyanka Asked For Bharat

Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra are two Bollywood actresses, who are changing the game. After all, they have become a global star and appeared in Hollywood films. Both the actresses demand high remunerations for their project, giving tough competition to male counterparts.

Even Deepika Padukone was the highest paid actress in Bollywood after getting Rs. 12 Crore for Padmaavat. In fact, she took more money than her male counterpart Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor for Padmaavat.

Now, it is reported that Priyanka Copra is also charging a whopping sum for her big Bollywood comeback.  If the report of a leading daily has anything to go by Priyanka is going to get the same amount of money as Deepika.

According to the report of Mid-Day, Priyanka Chopra has demanded a whopping sum of Rs. 14 Crore for starring in Salman Khan Starrer Bharat. However, they settled for Rs. 12 Crore after the negotiation.

While talking about pay disparity, PeeCee was quoted saying to an international magazine,

“I feel it every year, especially when you’re doing movies with really big actors, whether it’s in India or America. If an actor is getting 100 bucks, the conversation will start with max, like, 8 bucks. The gap is that staggering. In America, we don’t talk about it as brashly, whereas in India the issue is not skirted around. I’ve been told straight up, if it’s a female role in a movie with big, male actors attached, your worth is not really considered as much. It happens in both countries, it’s just that here, it’s hidden behind other things. In America, everyone is so worried about being liable that they don’t want to say anything wrong, but they end up doing it anyway.”

Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bharat features Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Tabu, Disha Patani and Sunil Grover. The movie is slated to release on Eid next year.
