Alok Nath came into news headlines not for his movie promotion but for two sexual harassment cases. Recently, The Indian Film and Television Director’s Association has raised a notice to Alok Nath.
After the producer of 1990’s show Tara, Vinta Nanda unveiled her story in a Facebook post against Alok Nath, another sexual harassment case against Alok Nath came into the limelight. Sandhya Mridul, an actress of film and TV, unveiled her METOO story.
As per sources, during a press conference The Indian Film and Television Directors’ Association’s president Ashok Pandit stated, “The entire federation supports the #MeToo movement. We have already drafted a notice which is to be issued to Alok Nath because Vinta Nanda is also a very respectable member of IFTDA.”
Ashok Pandit also stated, “Please encourage the entire federation and let us all move together to fight this menace. We need your support and help. This federation today takes a vouch that nobody in the industry will dare to think to even do something wrong. Be it, anyone.”
Filmmaker Vinta Nanda unveiled that Tara show’s lead actor and ‘most Sanskaari’ person in the film and television industry had raped her in her home. Vinta Nanda also stated that “Almost 20 years later, I’m totally fine now, healed and reunited with my own self again. I’m afraid of speaking to an audience.”

However, Alok Nath broke his silence over the sexual harassment allegations. He stated, “At one time she used to be such a good friend… today she said such a big thing. In a way, it was me who made her what she is,” he told the channel, adding, “It is useless to react on the allegations as in today’s world only what a woman says will be considered. In such a situation, it would be wrong to say anything.”
However, IFTDA president Ashok Pandit was asked about Tanushree Dutta’s case. In reply he said that “I have my own reservations. We are standing by Tanushree or any victim for that matter but I want Nana Patekar to be heard too.”
Not only Alok Nath but Nana Patekar, Alok Nath, Abhijeet Bhattacharya, Rajat Kapoor and Vikas Bahl have accused of a sexual harassment case. Every day from the entertainment industry, sexual harassment news is popping out.
However,on Tuesday, actor Alok Nath’s lawyer Ashok Saraogi stated that Alok Nath is in a state of tremendous shock and has been advised bed rest by the doctors.
