Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is a busy lady. After rocking the red carpet at Cannes 2022, Aish is all set to take over IFFA 2022 with hubby, Abhishek Bachchan. We earlier reported that the duo would be attending the event together and Abhishek will have a special performance at the event as well. However, the power couple was missing from the IIFA Rocks green carpet event on Friday, June 3, in Abu Dhabi. We tell you why.
ISH-ABHISHEK MISSING FROM IIFA
Before Aish and Abhi fans jump to any conclusions, let us tell you that the duo only missed their flight to Abu Dhabi, and therefore were missing from today’s green carpet and IIFA Rocks event.
Meanwhile, Aish was spotted at an event in Mumbai before she was scheduled to jet off for IIFA 2022. For the unversed, Aishwarya Rai was the chief guest at the 80th Annual All India Ophthalmological Conference 2022. The actress opted for a floral outfit for the event and looked ravishing
IIFA IS LIKE FAMILY: ABHISHEK
Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be attending the 22nd IIFA Awards, at Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. The main event is slated for June 4, Saturday, while Friday, June 3, saw the IIFA Rocks event along with a red carpet.
Abhishek will also be performing at the main award show this year. Speaking about the same, he said, “IIFA is like family to me and it feels good to come back and perform. After being disconnected physically for more than two years, celebrations help us unite. I am excited for this reunion of the industry to be happening as the world gets together again. And I am looking forward to entertaining, meeting fans and connecting with them globally.”
Adding to that, Aishwarya said, “I am delighted to be a part of IIFA’s 22nd edition. It has always been splendid to be a part of the IIFA Awards for years. Undoubtedly, it is the global event that both the Indian film industry and its well-wishers look forward to every year.”
ABOUT IIFA 2022
The IIFA 2022 will be hosted by none other than Salman Khan this year. The superstar will also be joined by Riteish Deshmukh and Maniesh Paul as co-hosts.
The main event will be a starry night and will see grand performances by the likes of Shahid Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, Kartik Aaryan, Sara Ali Khan, Ananya Panday, Divya Khosla Kumar and Nora Fatehi, among others.
