Sunny Deol’s fame has grown with the release of Gadar 2. The film’s exceptional box office success has produced the type of buzz seen 23 years ago when Gadar premiered in theaters. This has also provided the industry with a new opportunity to consider Sunny as a legitimate crowd-puller on the big screen.
And for the actor, it appears to be an opportunity to rekindle old friendships. At least, that’s what he hinted at in his most recent interview when discussing Shah Rukh Khan. For the uninitiated, SRK and Deol had creative disagreements during the 1993 film’s production, which resulted in a feud between the two for over two decades. However, Deol has recently stated that everything is OK between the two of them.
Sunny recently claimed in a discussion that his problems with SRK are past and that they have both moved on in life. The actor stated that he called the Jawan actor and his whole family, and they congratulated him on Gadar 2.
Sunny mentioned in an interview that his Darr co-star phoned him before viewing Gadar 2. He went on to say, “He had seen this film, and before that, he called me up and wished me, and he was so happy; he told me, ‘I am so happy; you genuinely deserve it, and I said, ‘Thank you’. I spoke to his wife and son and he said, ‘Tonight we’re going to watch the film.’ And I said, ‘Great’. And I think after that he has seen it and tweeted about it.”
Shah Rukh Khan responded to a fan’s question about Gadar 2 during a #AskSRK session on X.
“Gadar 2 dekhi aapne,” wrote the fan, and to this, SRK replied, “Yeah loved it!!”.
Sunny added to this positive trend by saying, “It was so beautiful. Many times I’ve also called him up, and we shared our thoughts on certain things.”
The Gadar 2 actor continued, Recalling the past and its baggage: “About the past issues, whatever they were, I would say time heals everything and we move ahead. That’s the way life should be.”
