Krushna Abhishek, who has had a tumultuous relationship with his maternal uncle Govinda, expressed optimism that they will be able to resolve their differences soon. Krushna stated that he was “hurt” and “angered” by some of Govinda’s comments, but that they will always be family.
While their relationship has been tense since 2016, things took a turn for the worse when Krushna sat out of an episode of The Kapil Sharma Show with Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja, which she described as “distressing” and ruled out the possibility of reconciliation. Sunita and Krushna’s wife Kashmera Shah have been slamming each other in interviews since then.

Krushna denied claims that the family quarrel is a publicity stunt in an interview with The Indian Express. “Why do I need this kind of publicity?” This isn’t something I require. Govinda Mama is a larger celebrity than I am. Such debates are unnecessary in our life. It will only make things worse for us. Things happen that are beyond our control at times. I’ll admit that a number of his words irritated me, and I became upset as a result. I answered, and it became public, further complicating our relationship. However, I must point out that I am similar to his son. I may become enraged over some issues, but we will always be family,” he stated.
Krushna also defended his uncle’s recent music video, Hello, from trolling. “He is still the best, no matter what people say or how often they troll him.” Govinda still has the fire in him and is capable of great things. He will always be a hero and an inspiration to me, and I will continue to look up to him,” he said.
On The Kapil Sharma Show, Krushna, who is a cast member, frequently makes jokes about his feud with Govinda. On an episode with Raveena Tandon and Farah Khan earlier this month, he stated that they will finally bury the hatchet.
“Maine jo kuch bhi seekha hai, unhi se seekha hai,” she says. Yeh alag baat hai, woh mereko chote miyan nahi maante hai, yeh alag baat hai, yeh alag baat hai, yeh alag baat hai Theek nahi, koi baat nahi, family nahi, chalta rehta nahi chalta rehta rehta rehta rehta rehta rehta reh (Everything I’ve learned has come from him.) Karenge baat, solution Hoga, koi issue nahi (Everything I’ve learned has come from him.) It’s a different storey that he doesn’t like me anymore. But it’s fine; stuff happens; we’ll talk about it and figure it out),” Krushna remarked.
