Cheslie Kryst, Miss USA 2019, died after jumping from a higher elevation of a 60-story condominium in New York City on Sunday. Harnaaz Sandhu, Miss Universe 2021, was devastated by the news. She took to social media and wrote a heartfelt message for Cheslie. As per the leading publication interview News the beauty queen, lawyer, fashion blogger, and Extra TV correspondent was pronounced dead at the scene.
Harnaaz posted a photo with Cheslie and captioned it, “This is heartbreaking and unbelievable; you were always a source of inspiration for many people. Cheslie, may you rest in peace.” Harnaaz and Cheslie can be seen smiling in the photo after the former won the 70th Miss Universe 2021 pageant.
According to the leading publication, the death of Kryst, who lived on the ninth floor, appears to be a suicide. The official cause of death will be determined soon by the medical examiner. “We share the devastation and great sorrow of our beloved Cheslie’s passing,” her family said in a statement to Extra. Kryst was born in 1991 in Jackson, Michigan, but grew up in South Carolina. She attended the University of South Carolina and received her law degree from Wake Forest University. Kryst worked as a civil litigator at the North Carolina firm Poyner Spruill LLP and also founded the women’s business apparel blog White Collar Glam. She was crowned Miss North Carolina USA in 2019 and then took a break.
