Rakhi Sawant returned from her Umrah journey to Mecca on Thursday morning. The actress rushed to the hallowed Dargah, asking for Mercy and blaming her ex-husband Adil Khan Durrani of wrecking her life. She even requested that others around her pray for her health and peace of mind. She travelled to Saudi Arabia with a few pals for the pilgrimage, and when she returned, she was greeted at the airport by several admirers with garlands and floral showers.
She also took the opportunity to speak with the reporters gathering outside the airport, sharing her pilgrimage experiences and views. When the paparazzi yelled ‘Rakhi, Rakhi’ to get a photo, the actress demanded to be called “Rakhi nahi Fatima bolo.” Photographers and paparazzi began calling her Fatima in response to her instruction.
A man attempted to drape a garland around her neck, but she declined and took a step back. While a woman did the same, she was permitted to do so.
A member of the media even asked Rakhi if she had altered her name in her paperwork, to which she answered, “God made me just like this; he loves me just how I am. He doesn’t need me to change documents or my name.”
For her marriage to Adil Khan, the actress allegedly converted to Islam. She then accused him of being violent to her and even reported him to the police. Adil was also detained in February after being accused of rape by another lady.
The former couple has recently been flinging allegations at one other in the media. In Mumbai, they even staged a flurry of news conferences.
