We just witnessed Sushmita Sen’s film Taali, in which she played a transgender woman. Nawazuddin Siddiqui will play a transgender man in his next film, Haddi, which will air on Zee5.
On Wednesday, OTT company ZEE5 announced that Haddi, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, will premiere on its platform on September 7. The vengeance drama is directed by Akshat Ajay Sharma, who also co-wrote the script with Adamya Bhalla.
The trailer for Haddi, on the other hand, is really intriguing. It appears to be a vengeance story, and Nawazuddin’s acting in the teaser is superb. He nailed it in one of the scenes. Apart from Nawaz, Anurag Kashyap is the star of the program.
Anurag Kashyap, the director, plays a negative role in the film and appears to be delivering an excellent performance. The film also stars Ila Arun and Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub, who can be seen in the teaser.
The film’s first look poster was unveiled a few weeks ago, and the trailer was released today. Nawaz shared the trailer with his admirers on Instagram. He wrote on Instagram, “Has revenge ever looked this bone-chilling? #Haddi aa raha hai with a tale of vengeance that will leave you on the edge of your seat.”
Haddi delves into a “gritty and twisted revenge drama that deftly exposes the intricate nexus of the capital city’s criminal underbelly.”
The trailer is set against the backdrop of modern ruins in the NCR, and the film delves into the life of Haddi, a transgender played by Siddiqui, who comes from Allahabad to Delhi to join a gang of transgenders and rises to the top of the criminal food chain to avenge his family, who was wronged by a mighty, powerful gangster-turned-politician.

Haddi, co-written by Akshat Ajay Sharma and Adamya Bhalla, is a dark and twisted vengeance drama that deftly exposes the intricate network of the capital city’s criminal underbelly.
