Varun Dhawan defends the controversy surrounding Bawaal by taking a dig at Oppenheimer’s intimate scene

Bawaal, the movie starring Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan, was released this week on July 21 to generally mediocre reviews. While viewers are enjoying the roles that Varun and Janhvi are playing, the movie is also generating controversy because it chose to use the horrible holocaust as its central conflict. On the same day that Bawaal saw an OTT release, Nolan’s movie had a theatrical debut.
Conflict between Bawaal and Oppenheimer
Indirectly criticizing a moment from Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, Varun Dhawan supports the picture despite the Auschwitz debate that has been circulating online. On social media, the Bhagavad Gita scene from the movie has infuriated the public.
The internet is in uproar over an intimate scene from Oppenheimer in which he reads words from the Bhagavad Gita while two characters appear to be having sex. A portion of social media users who were offended by this moment urged that it be removed from the Christopher Nolan-directed movie.
Varun Dhawan makes a subtle jab at the Bhagavad Gita in the Oppenheimer Nitesh Tiwari-directed film Bawaal, alluding to the holocaust scenario, drawing conflicting reactions from online users. Varun Dhawan, who plays the lead in the movie, responded to it in an interview with Pinkvilla, saying, “Some people got trigged or upset over this. However, I’m not sure where that sensitivity or trigger goes when they watch, say, an English movie, to provide an example. You’ll find that accurate. They are permitted to do everything there, to leap off cliffs, and to present things in a particular way.
The actor continued, indirectly referencing Nolan’s movie Oppenheimer: “I know people have gotten very affected after watching a short scene in a fantastic film, newly published. This scene is significant to our culture and nation. But you can live with that. You don’t think they ought to be more considerate of you? Therefore, where does your criticism go?
Concerning Bawaal and Oppenheimer
Nitesh Tiwari is directing Bawaal. The tumultuous love affair between Ajay Dixit and Nisha Dixit is the central theme of the narrative. The video, which uses the awful holocaust as a background reference, walks you through the experiences the two have and how they work through their relationship’s “wars.”
Oppenheimer, on the other hand, is a Christopher Nolan movie with Cillian Murphy in the title role. The movie is engulfed in the Bhagavad Gita debate even though it is well-liked by the crowd and is making a killing at the box office.
