
Vicky Kaushal, who just celebrated the success of his romantic comedy Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, is now gearing up for the release of his next film, The Great Indian Family, which promises intriguing characters. Manushi Chhillar, Miss World 2017, also plays a prominent part in this film. The movie’s commercial campaign was formally launched when the actor stunned his audience by introducing local singing talent Bhajan Kumar as his forthcoming character. And he made it even more spectacular by releasing the film’s opening song, Kanhaiya Twitter Pe Aa Ja.
The first song from the film The Great Indian Family, Kanhaiya Twitter Pe Aaja, was released on Wednesday, August 30. In the film, Vicky portrays a bhajan musician named Bhajan Kumar. And properly so, he was introduced with a groovy bhajan. The actor is portrayed as an eccentric and hyperactive orchestra conductor who is passionate about his singing. Pritam composed the song, which features Nakash Aziz’s vocals and lyrics written by Amitabh Bhattacharya. Vijay A. Ganguly created the choreography. Take a look at this
Vicky remarked during the launch ceremony about the song and his character: “I play a singing star named Bhajan Kumar in our quirky family entertainer The Great Indian Family and we decided to have some fun before we actually revealed the fact that I was playing this character in the film!”
He hoped that people would like him in this avatar. As an actor, I love to bring smiles to the faces of people and I hope I was able to achieve it. So, now the cat’s out of the bag! I hope people love my new avatar in TGIF. I’m eager to see how Bhajan Kumar is received by audiences. I know I have poured my heart into bringing him to life on the big screen,” added Vicky.
Vicky appears entirely at ease and in character. He’s just lately established his mettle in small-town parts with Zara Hatke and Zara Bachke. He hopes to provide yet another unforgettable performance in The Great Indian Family. He has a glint in his eyes that makes the character feel right for him.
The Great Indian Family, starring Vicky and Manushi Chhillar, will be released on September 25, 2023. Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, Sadiya Siddiqui, Alka Amin, Srishti Dixit, and Bhuvan Arora are among the ensemble cast members. Vijay Krishna Acharya directs the film, which is produced by Yash Raj Films.
