Bollywood singer Sona Mohapatra is known to share her opinions on social media and she has never shied away from speaking her mind on Twitter. Mohapatra often makes headlines for her controversial tweets and for taking digs at celebrities. A few days ago, the singer slammed the makers of Salman Khan’s show Bigg Boss 16 for roping in #MeToo accused Sajid Khan as a contestant on the show. And, now Mohapatra is grabbing headlines for responding to a netizen who called her ‘hijrah’ (eunuch).
A Twitter user, who seems to be a Salman Khan fan, shared a photo of Sona Mohapatra on Twitter and made derogatory comments against her. The user said Sona has a ‘face like eunuch’. The comment read, “Yeh @sonamohapatra ka face dekh kar mujhe nahi lagta kisi ka bhi khada hoga bc hijrah jaisi shakal hai uski aur seerat bhi waisi hai.” The popular playback singer Sona was quick to take note of it and hit back at him.

While taking a dig at Sajid and Jacqueline Fernandez, Sona wrote back, “Haan Bhai,hamne aur sari auraton ne shakal, surat aur akal sab kuch aap sab लीचड़ों ko ‘khada’ karne ke liye hee पाला पोसा है.. NOT. Getting dicks hard, might be the job of the women supporting & vouching for #SajidKhan & riding horses in #Salman Bhais farmhouse, not mine.” Her reply to the user is getting mixed reactions from people. Taking to the comments section, one netizen pointed out that the singer is contradicting herself by passing comments on other women’s character.
Earlier, Sona Mohapatra had lashed out at Indian TV channels for roping in #Metoo accused celebs like Sajid, singers Anu Malik and Kailash Kher on reality shows. She stated channels are depraved and the marketing and creative teams are “chuckling ghoulishly” for the free publicity.
